At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify the major musculoskeletal postural issues for children
- Identify how backpacks affect posture and common deviations
- Recognize ergonomic interventions for computer, desk and chair
- Identify similarities/differences between Pilates and Yoga
- Identify benefits of Pilates and Yoga
- Identify “Low Tone” muscle groups in children and how Piga can help
- Recognize Pilates exercises that can help scapular stability
- Recognize Pilates exercises that can help activate abdominal/back musculature
- Recognize common errors in performing Pilates and Yoga with children
- Identify major considerations (cautions) when using Pilates with children
Criteria for Obtaining Continuing Education Credits:
A score of 70% or greater on the post-test
