At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify the function and connections of the fascia
- Recognize factors affecting mechanical properties of the fascia
- Recognize the patient benefits of IASTM/STM
- List indications for IASTM
- Recognize current IASTM research and its outcomes
- Differentiate between IASTM tools and recognize when to use each
- Identify IASTM principles/parameters
- Recognize common indications for IASTM in each lower body muscle group
- Identify how to perform a thorough initial assessment and determine the appropriateness of IASTM for a patient
- Identify IASTM scenarios through case studies
Criteria for Obtaining Continuing Education Credits:
A score of 70% or greater on the post-test
