The course presents Pediatric Orthopedic case studies and then walks the reader through the most important aspects of the differential diagnosis. The material offers easy to reference answers to the most important clinical orthopedic questions including mnemonics, bulleted lists and practical tips. The course will help enable you to zero in on key orthopedic information and more quickly and thoroughly make a differential diagnosis. The information is interesting, evidence-based, outcome based and up-to-date.  

This course covers chapter 6: Pediatric Orthopedics.

At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:

4.   Differentiate between types of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

6.   Identify common complications of pediatric hip fractures
7.   Recognize complications of a crush injury
8.   Differentiate between types of scoliosis and their risk factors
9.   Identify the types of Spondylolisthesis in pediatrics
10. Identify the treatment options for Muscular Torticollis
11. Differentiate between the seven categories for congenital hand abnormalities 
12. Recognize the congenital trigger digit characteristics
13. Differentiate between Cerebral Palsy gait disorders
14. Identify risk factors for Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis
15. Identify common knee injuries in young athletes 

Criteria for Obtaining Continuing Education Credits:

A score of 70% or greater on the post-test
