Course Description:
Pelvic Stability…sometimes trying to walk that diagnostic road with a patient is like trying to balance the national budget. Everyone has great ideas…but they don’t always work! Dr. Winters is here to help us walk through the maze that is pelvic stability. She covers:
- Information applicable to a variety of patients and patient goals
- Progression of therapeutic exercises appropriate for patients of varying abilities
- Examples of therapeutic exercises which are not limited by budgetary restrictions

Course Goals and Objectives:
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify the center of mass and line of movement during activity
- Recognize anatomical structures of the Lumbopelvic Hip complex
- Differentiate between muscle couples and their actions
- Recognize major muscular players in pelvic movement and stability
- Identify awareness of pelvic positioning during assessment
- Identify pelvic positioning and subsequent movement dysfunctions
- Differentiate between pelvic special tests
- Identify common patient goals related to pelvic stability
- Recognize Joint Stability/Joint Mobility therapeutic exercises
- Recognize recent research on Lumbopelvic control and Injury Prevention
Criteria for Obtaining Continuing Education Credits:
A score of 70% or greater on the post-test
