Dr John Jowers, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
Dr. John Jowers, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, is a board-certified sports clinical specialist and certified strength and conditioning coach based in Rockville, Maryland. As the head physical therapist at Launch Physical Therapy and Fitness Coaching, he specializes in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurologic, and systemic conditions, including running injuries, ACL reconstructions, hip labrum surgeries, and cervicogenic headaches, among many others. Dr. Jowers earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland College Park. His treatment approach incorporates advanced techniques such as functional dry needling, spinal manipulation, and active release therapy, and he utilizes the latest medical research and technology to optimize patient outcomes. He teaches professionally on a variety of topics, including sarcopenia, proprioception, cardiac health, sleep optimization, and athletic training.

- Recognize and differentiate between the common clinical methods of testing by Magee
- Differentiate between treatment methods for proprioceptive deficits
- Recognize the results of exercise on unstable surfaces and the subsequent benefits
- Recognize the peripheral causes of proprioceptive treatment
- Recognize and implement advanced treatment training programs for various deficiencies
- Differentiate between ways to promote and maximize compliance with training programs for maximized individual outcome
