At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  2. Differentiate between mechanisms of injury and knee structures possibly injured
  3. Recognize common pathologies 24-hour symptom patterns
  4. Identify symptoms that alert you to pathologies that may require a referral to a medical physician
  5. Identify the contributing factors of an Anterior Cruciate Ligament Sprain
  6. Identify the differential diagnoses for Illiotibial Band Friction Syndrome
  7. Recognize the common signs and symptoms of Meniscal Injury
  8. Recognize the 24-hour symptom pattern for Osteoarthritis (knee)
  9. Differentiate between mechanisms of injury for a Patellar Fracture
  10. Recognize the physical examination findings for Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
  11. Recognize the epidemiology and demographics for a Posterior Cruciate Ligament Sprain
  12. Identify the common signs and symptoms for Rheumatoid Arthritis (knee)
  13. Recognize repetitive loading change and the cartilage response to load
  14. Differentiate between the mechanical properties of skeletal muscle
  15. Differentiate between the joint shapes and their type of motion 

Criteria for Obtaining Continuing Education Credits:
