At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the role of the Therapy Professional as Primary Care Providers and differentiate between possible Sources of Pain
- Identify findings of Central Sensitization/Peripheral Sensitization
- Differentiate between Tissue Tension, Ischemic Pain, Myofascial Pain, Muscle Spasm, Trauma, Muscle Degeneration and Joint Pain and recognize subsequent referral Red Flags
- Identify the possible neurological causes of dizziness
- Recognize the importance of Reference Standard/Reliability/Common Statistics/Clinical Prediction Rule in Evidence Based Practice
- Differentiate between common causes of nausea
- Recognize the importance of the Red Flag Hierarchy and how it assists the Therapy Professional as the Primary Care Provider
- Identify typical findings associated with joint conditions
- Differentiate between Monoarticular and Polyarticular joint conditions
- Using the Clinical Prediction Rule, identify red flags when assessing for possible vertebral fracture.
Criteria for Obtaining Continuing Education Credits:
A score of 70% or greater on the post-test
