Course Goals and Objectives:
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- List factors influencing aerobic capacity in the older adult
- Identify public health benefits of exercise and physical activity
- Recognize the physiology of aerobic capacity and exercise
- Identify a comprehensive examination on an older adult with impaired aerobic capacity
- how to evaluate, diagnosis, and determine the prognosis of an older adult with impaired aerobic capacity
- Identify a plan of care/interventions for an older adult with impaired aerobic capacity
- Recognize components of how to evaluate and diagnosis an older adult with joint mobility issues
- Recognize interventions for an older adult with joint mobility issues
- Identify outcomes related to joint mobility issues in the older adult
- Identify the consequences of sarcopenia
- Identify muscle countermeasures for older adults
