At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the closed packed position for the joints of the shoulder
- Identify specific muscle weaknesses caused by peripheral nerve injuries
- Recognize posterior view postural deformities
- Differentiate between the 3 types of glenohumeral painful arcs
- Recognize causes of scapular imbalance patterns
- Identify signs and symptoms of possible peripheral nerve involvement
- Recognize special tests commonly performed on the shoulder
- Differentiate between grades of anterior glenohumeral translation
- Recognize the proper procedures for performing tests for anterior and posterior shoulder instability
- Recognize the proper procedures for performing tests for inferior and multidirectional shoulder instability
- Recognize the proper procedures for performing tests for impingement and labral tears
- Differentiate between types of SLAP lesions
- Recognize the proper procedures for performing tests for scapular stability and ligament pathology
